Community Engagement refers to the collaboration – between Higher Education Institutions and their larger communities. In alignment with the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) mission in wanting the university to take part in bringing up the communities who were in need, NMUC is committed to being together in the realisation of the mission. The main objective of this program is to design and develop programs to engage with the community and to fulfill the requirement of the Netherlands Maritime University College Centre of Community Engagement (NMUC CCE). Thus, the aim of this centre is to enlighten the lecturers in developing community-based programs.
