NMUC CCE had the privilege of coordinating a community service initiative alongside eight dedicated Bachelor in Maritime Logistics students and seven lecturers for a community-engagement program.
17 February 2024, at Jeti Pendekar Laut, Mukim Tg Kupang. Together, we spearheaded a program aimed at environmental stewardship, wherein both students and lecturers actively participated in gathering nearly 300 mangrove samplings for transplantation at Forest City, Johor.
The primary aim of this program extends across two key objectives: first, to cultivate a robust culture of volunteerism within our academic community, wherein individuals willingly devote their time and efforts towards collective betterment. Secondly, we aim to champion sustainable, low-carbon practices among the students and staff of NMUC, emphasizing the importance of environmental consciousness and responsible resource utilization.
Through the collaborative effort invested in this initiative, our aspiration is to instill within each participant a deep-rooted sense of social responsibility, prompting them to actively engage in activities that benefit not only themselves but also the broader community and environment. By fostering this heightened awareness and commitment to sustainable practices, we endeavor to play a meaningful role in the preservation and protection of our natural ecosystems, thereby ensuring a healthier and more sustainable future for generations to come.
