The Industry Student Engagement Department organized a Career Talk for the students on the Tuesday 07/03/2023 from 2.30 pm to 4.00 pm.
The guest speaker, Ms Jasmine, MD of Horizon Logistics, shared her 30 years experiences in the logistics industry and presented her company Horizon Logistics. She used to work for MNC as Ecu Worlwide, Vanguard logistics, and more. She has opened her own freight forwarding company: Horizon Logistics. Ms Jasmine is well versed in the freight forwarding for air, ocean and land transport, but she has an expertise in LCL cargo shipment (Less than Container Load).
After the sharing session, Ms Jasmine conducted a Q&A session with our students. The students were very interested with this Career Talk and showed to Ms Jasmine, their motivation to learn more about freight forwarding, and she mentioned to them that currently, there are available positions for internship in her company. Overall, it was a successful Career Talk and learning for our students.
