NMUC CSR (CCE) / Centre of Community Engagement of NMUC led by Mr Aiman Muqri together with Kelab Alami has successfully conducted four programmes for Phase 1 under Majlis Bandaraya Iskandar Puteri Iskandar Puteri Rendah Karbon Community Grant. The last programme was held at Tadika Kemas Murni, Kampung Tiram Duku. Centre of Community Engagement would like to take this opportunity to thank all hardworking yet cooperative lecturers which are Ms Farah, Ms Hadzirah, Ms Fatini, Ms Arina, Ms Nusra, Ms Nadzirah, Mdm Syaroza, Mdm Pija, Mr Zharif, Mr Rahmat, Mr Ismail, Mr Quastan & Mr Aqmal for their valueable contribution.
In This programmes, we were teaching students of 5 and 6 years old on how to do composting. These activities fall under Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP) as one of the SETARA requirements. Alongside with that, we planted 103 trees in an effort to promote low carbon communities which fulfilled the Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) component as well.
The teachers and students were extremely happy and appreciative towards our effort to foster the spirit of taking care of the environment. Not only that, those lecturers who joined also give positive feedback and InsyaAllah we will try our best to conduct more programme in the future. We do hope, these efforts will be beneficial in shaping future generations.
We are hoping our Phase 2 of the grant will be as successful as this one, and we are awaiting the rest of the funding from MBIP for us to kickstart final phase of the project.
