On 11th January 2023, we organised an Industry Visit to Northport, Port Klang Selangor in which a total of 36 students, 2 lecturers and 4 support staff participated in this visit.
The visit offers our students an opportunity to learn in a more hands on and immersive way which is vital to their learning experience in exploring what the maritime industry is especially in Malaysia & what the industry can offer to them once they graduate.
During the Q&A session, our students were keen and curious, asking a lot of questions. They managed to receive a lot of invaluables insights from the port representatives themselves which was an eye opener to them as their first up-close experience with people who has been working in the industry for many years.
We also had a pleasant surprise in meeting our last semester students, Irfan bin Faisal and Nur Amirah Ubaidah whom are currently doing their internship at North Port. Noraini Binti Rahim, our best student for NMUC’s 6th Convocation is also employed as an Executive at North Port.
