Furthermore, NMUC is the first institution in the Southern region to apply the Code of Practice for TVET Programme Accreditation (COPTPA), demonstrating its leadership in technical and vocational education. As an Accredited Centre, NMUC offers various skills-based programs, providing pathways for students obtain qualifications Malaysian Skill Diploma (DKM Level 4). These qualifications are offered through a Single-Tier system, empowering students with specialized skills tailored to meet industry demands.

Investments in terms of time, energy, and resources have continued to grow, reflecting the government’s strong commitment to strengthening the TVET ecosystem. TVET is an education and training process that focuses on equipping individuals with practical skills for direct employment, with a strong emphasis on hands-on and on-the-job training. As a result, TVET plays a vital role in producing a competent workforce to meet the evolving demands of industry and contribute to national economic growth.

All our programs are approved and accredited by the Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK), under the Ministry of Human Resources. We take pride in being pioneers in the region, Netherlands Maritime University College (NMUC), based in Johor Bahru, is the first accredited training centre in the Southern Region to receive recognition in accordance with the Code of Practice for TVET Programme Accreditation (COPTPA).

In response to the growing demand for skilled professionals and in line with our commitment to expanding access to quality vocational education, we are proud to announce the launch of our new campus Netherlands Maritime University College (Kuala Lumpur Campus).

This strategic expansion aims to provide more opportunities for students across the central region to pursue industry relevant qualifications and hands-on training in various high-demand sectors. Our Kuala Lumpur campus is equipped with modern facilities and led by experienced trainers to ensure students receive the same standard of excellence as our flagship campus in Johor Bahru.

Entry Requirements

Malaysian Citizen

16 years old until 45 years old

Proficient in Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic (3M – Membaca, Menulis & Mengira)

Method of Delivery

Our TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) programs are designed with a practical, hands-on and industry-driven approach to ensure graduates are well-prepared for the workforce.

We adopt the following key delivery methods:

Curriculum Based on NOSS

All training modules are aligned with the National Occupational Skills Standard (NOSS), ensuring that the competencies taught meet current industry requirements and national standards.

Competency-Based Training (CBT)

Our programs follow the Competency-Based Training (CBT) model where students progress based on their ability to demonstrate the required skills, rather than time spent in class.

Balanced Theory and Practical Exposure

Level 3 Programs: - 30% Theory & 70% Practical Training
*This level emphasizes hands-on skills and real-world applications*

Level 4 Programs: - 40% Theory & 60% Practical Training
*Designed for advanced understanding with a strong focus on problem-solving and supervisory skills*

Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia in Creative Multimedia Development

Programme : Interactive Multimedia Design & Creative Multimedia Development

A Creative Multimedia Development program is designed to equip students with the skills to create and manage content across multiple media platforms, combining elements of audio, video, graphics, animation, and interactivity. In summary, a multimedia program provides a comprehensive education in creating, designing, and producing digital content across various platforms, making it ideal for those interested in creative and technical fields.

Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia in Administrative Management

Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia in Aircraft Maintenance Operation and Certification

Programme : Aircraft Maintenance Operation (Non Certifying) & Aircraft Maintenance Operation and Certification

The Aircraft Maintenance Operation and Certification course is designed to equip students with the technical skills and foundational knowledge required to perform and manage aircraft maintenance activities effectively. This programme prepares individuals for roles in the aviation maintenance field, focusing on both hands-on operational practices and regulatory compliance. Financial Aids

The Perbadanan Tabung Pembangunan Kemahiran (PTPK) loan is specifically designed to assist students in covering various costs associated with pursuing skill based education.

This includes:

  • Tuition Fees
  • Living Expenses (RM400-RM800 per/month)
  • Transportation (Peninsular Malaysia: RM500 /Borneo: RM1000 one-off)
  • Laptop (RM2500 one-off)
