ICMLP 2025 Brings Global Maritime Logistics Community Together
Netherlands Maritime University College (NMUC) in collaboration with Johor Talent Development Council (JTDC), Port Training Institute (PTI), Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT), STC Next International (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. and The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT) are organizing the three-day International Conference on Maritime Logistics and Ports (ICMLP) 2025, starting on September 9th at the Persada Johor International Convention Center.
This international conference brings together industry stakeholders, thought leaders, experts, and innovators from around the world, including distinguished institutions such as PETRONAS, MAERSK Singapore, IMO International Maritime Law Institute (Malta), World Maritime University (Sweden), National Institute of Maritime Affairs (Pakistan), Atlantic Container Lines Malaysia, and PTI AASTMT (Egypt).
Participating organizations and exhibitors include the Johor Port Authority (LPJ), Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), and Tanjung Langsat Port (TLP). Representatives from the Ministry of Transport (MOT) and the Marine Department Malaysia (MARDEP) will also join as guest speakers, making the conference more comprehensive with the active involvement of regulators alongside industry practitioners.
Key topics discussed at ICMLP 2025 include the latest developments in maritime logistics and port operations, with panel sessions exploring innovative solutions and strategies to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and safety within the global maritime logistics and port systems.
Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony will be held between NMUC and several prominent organizations, including the Logistics & Supply Chain Management Society (LogiSYM), Malaysian Shipowners’ Association (MASA), Port Training Institute (PTI), Bowstern Training Solutions Sdn. Bhd. (BSTS), Shapadu CR Asia Sdn. Bhd., JS Martin Sdn. Bhd., Peterson Solutions Malaysia, National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA), Aero Malaysian Aviation Centre (AMEC), and Cornerstone Offshore Sdn. Bhd. This reflects a strong commitment to reinforcing Malaysia’s position as a regional hub for maritime logistics.
ICMLP 2025 serves as a crucial platform for participants to exchange views and build a more efficient, sustainable, and resilient maritime logistics system to drive global trade, economic growth, and strengthen connectivity.
