The Industry and Student Engagement department had organized an industry site visit for our students on Monday, 12th June 2023 to LVC Logistics which is one of the best ranked local Integrated Logistics companies. 24 students, from different programs : Diploma in Shipping Management,Diploma in Maritime Occupational Safety & Health and Bachelor in Maritime & Logistics had joined the visit and were eager to learn where they actively participated in the Q&A session with the staffs.
They gained knowledge in freight forwarding, warehouse operations, custom clearance and intermodal transportation which relates very much to what they have been learning in their classes and this visit provides them with the hands on exposure and experience of the real working environment.
LVC Logistics is the latest addition to Long View Corporation Eco Pack and they provide a wide array of an integrated logistics solution: warehousing, sea freight cargo and multimodal transportation. LVC Logistics is also one of the vendor for Bollore Logistics and has few special trucks with CCTV and E-Lock to carry high valuable cargos for major luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton and Gucci products. Overall, it was a very good learning experience for our students.
